A Child To Love

You can have your wealth and riches
All the things so many seek,
Position, power, and success,
The fame you long to keep.

You can earn as much as you wish,
Reach a status high above,
But none of these can equal
Having one sweet child to love.

'Tis the greatest gift from heaven,
Little arms that hold you tight,
And a kiss so soft and gentle
When you tuck them in at night.

A million precious questions
And each story often read,
Two eyes so bright and smiling,
And a darling tousled head.

God has never matched the goodness
Of a trusting little face,
Or a heart so full of laughter
Spreading sunshine every place.

A child to hold and cuddle,
'Tis a gift from God above,
And the world is so much brighter
When you have a child to love.

Give a little kindness,
Give it every day,
Give a little tenderness,
As you go on your way,
The well of Love is endless,
and as long as you may live,
You'll find the more you give your love,
The more there'll be to give.

A person who possesses true peace
is not one whose life is without
problems and turmoil but is rather
a person who has peace in spite of it.

WHISPER JESUS

Today I got a burden,
And I felt that I should pray,
For God's spirit seemed to tell me,
That you were having a bad day.

I don't know just what that problem is,
But I sure do know the cure,
And if you'll only let Him,
God will keep you safe and secure.

In life there's always problems,
Cropping up to spoil our day,
But my friend, you know the answer,
All you have to do, is "PRAY".

If you still feel you're defeated,
And you want to run and hide,
Just reach out, and I'll be there,
Standing right there by your side.

So remember-- WHISPER JESUS,
For He's just a prayer away,
He's so close that you can touch Him,
All you have to do, is "pray".

Four things a man must learn to do if he would make his record true:
To think without confusion clearly,
To love his fellow men sincerely,
To act from honest motives purely,
To trust in God and heaven securely.

"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us, as the universe, a part limited
in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as
something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his
consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to
our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our
task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of
compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

- Albert Einstein

Standing for what you believe in regardless of the odds against you, and the pressure that tears at your resistance
...is Courage.

Keeping a smile on your face when inside you feel like dying, for the sake of supporting others
...is Strength.

Stopping at nothing and doing what's in your heart that you know is right
...is Determination.

Doing more than is expected, to make another's life a little more bearable, without uttering a single complaint
...is Compassion.

Helping a friend in need, no matter the time or effort, to the best of your ability
...is Loyalty.

Holding your head high And being the best you know you can be when life seems to fall apart at your feet,
Facing each difficulty with the confidence that time will bring you better tomorrows, And never giving up...
...is Confidence.

Hold your head high and make your life better every day!

Friendships are fragile things and require as much care in handling
as any other fragile and precious thing.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Good-bye."

My prayer for you is a dream
big enough to capture your heart,
bright enough to illuminate your mind
and deep enough to satisfy your spirit
May you find the strength to pursue it
and be enriched by it across the years.

Today is My Day

Today my thoughts are centred on expecting only the best
and giving only the best.

Today my mind and heart are open to new opportunities
and I make the most out of every situation.

Today I will smile and act enthusiastically in everything I do.
I will make every person I meet feel very important and
I will show them that I care.

Today my confidence is high and I am willing to step out
and take a chance.
I speak freely to all those I meet.
I know I have something valuable to contribute.
I expect results today and my time is well invested.

Today I am one step closer to achieving my goals and dreams.
I always keep my eyes focussed on success
and prosperity.

Today I will sow good seed so that I will reap my harvest of reward.

Today is my day!

One day a wealthy mother and father took their young son on a trip to the country,
with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be.

They spent a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family.
When they got back from their trip the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"

"Very good, Dad!"

"Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked.

"Yeah!" exclaimed the boy.

"And what did you learn?" the father questioned.

The son answered, "I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden, they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lamps in the garden, they have the stars.
Our patio reaches to the front yard, they have a whole horizon.

When the young boy had finished telling his father what he had learnt, the father was speechless.

The son added, "Thanks, Dad, for showing me how poor we are!"

Isn't it true that it all depends on the way you look at things?
If you have love, friends, family, health, good humour and a positive attitude toward life,
you've got everything!

You can't buy any of these things. You can have all the material possessions you can imagine,
provisions for the future, etc., but if you are poor of spirit, you have nothing!

Be well and be happy, my friends!

The Strength of a Man

The strength of a man isn't seen in the width of his shoulders.
It's seen in the width of his arms that circle you.

The strength of a man isn't in the deep tone of his voice.
It's in the gentle words he whispers.

The strength of a man isn't how many buddies he has.
It's how good a buddy he is with his kids.

The strength of a man isn't in how respected he is at work.
It's in how respected he is at home.

The strength of a man isn't in how hard he hits.
It's in how tender he touches.

The strength in a man isn't in the hair on his chest.
It's in his Heart...that lies within his chest.

The strength of a man isn't how many women he's loved.
It's in how he can be true to one woman.

The strength of a man isn't in the weight he can lift.
It's in the burdens he can carry.
