My Friend
Do you have a friend as special as I?
One who laughs when you're happy, and sad when you cry.
One who listens to your problems, and offers advice,
And doesn't seem to worry, when you're not very nice.
One who will be there, when you need a friend.
And when it is needed, a helping hand to lend.
She is happy, she is witty, she is as bright as the sun.
Whether you are working, or just having fun.
She is one in a million, and will be to the end,
Thankyou Judy, for being my friend.

Sisters
The bond between two sisters is a very strong thing,
It grows in time through shared events, and linked remembering.
This bond in life can be compared to one between close friends,
But this is very different, as it's one that never ends.
The friends we've made along the way while travelling on in life,
Can choose to stay or go in times of happiness or strife.
The things we've shared down through the years which brought us closer together,
Unite us as we travel on in fine or stormy weather.
My sister is my trusted friend, she is my confidante,
She's there to share a laugh with and she's there to lean upon,
In joy or pain she always cares, her presence never falters,
We're bound by common heritage, no power on earth can alter.

24 Things to Always Remember and One Thing to Never Forget
Your presence is a present to the world, You're unique and one of a kind.
Your life can be what you want it to be, Take the days, just one at a time,
Count your blessings, not your troubles, You'll make it through whatever comes along.
Within you are many answers, Understand, have courage, be strong.
Don't put limits on yourself.
So many dreams are waiting to be realised, Decisions are too important to leave to chance.
Reach for your peak, your goal, your prize, Nothing wastes more energy than worrying.
The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets, Don't take things too seriously.
Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets. Remember that a little love goes a long way,
Remember that a lot....goes forever. Remember that friendship is a wise investment,
Life's treasures are people together. Realise that it's never too late.
Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way. Have health and hope and happiness
Take the time to wish upon a star. And don't forget, for even a day,
How very special you are.

~~ A GIFT OF LOVE ~~
l have a gift that you can't buy, as it costs no money.
l have a gift that you can't wrap up, as it can't be concealed.
l have a gift that you can't see, and yet it glows warmly.
l have a gift that you can't touch, and yet it can be felt.
l have the greatest gift of life to give you,
The gift of love.

HER LOVE IS STEADFAST
I’ve learned some things down through the years,
Sometimes I’ve been brave and sometimes full of fears.
There have been days when I’ve done things that were smart,
And then other days when I played the dunce’s part.
One bright move was when I married my wife,
She’s the best thing that ever came into my life.
We’ve moved a lot of times and travelled many miles,
And because of her my life has been full of smiles.
She’s a great cook that’s why I’m no longer small,
And her love is steadfast in winter, spring, summer and fall.
I never have to worry whether she will treat me right,
And though my armour is tarnished I’m still her heroic knight.
We’re growing old together with every passing year
And I’m forever grateful that she is always near.
We take turns seeing the doctor - it seems to be our thing,
And some days we have to wonder what will tomorrow bring.
It’s an adventure facing life together knowing God is in charge,
And he’ll give us leadership and wisdom be the task small or large.
Neither of us worry we just keep on trusting him,
At least that’s what we strive for whether our pathway is bright or dim.
As onward we travel we go hand in hand
And pray for strength and wisdom to meet each demand.
Our God is gracious - he brought us together,
And we know we can trust him in all kinds of weather.
Where he will lead us we have no way of knowing,
But our faith keeps getting stronger as our pace keeps on slowing.
We thank God for allowing us to be husband and wife,
And for giving us a full and happy life.

Nurses
Days so hectic, nights more of the same,
So tired we're lucky to remember our name.
Do what we can and sometimes not much
When all we can offer is a smile or a touch.
The humour sometimes only we can see
In people and events, we laugh hysterically.
Often to mask our own sadness and fears
Frustration, fatigue or welled-up tears.
Crisis, disaster, diagnosis, despair,
Heartbreak and sorrow with each other we share.
Accident, illness, disease and death,
Heart attack, bleeding and those short-of-breath.
Wounds and injury by unthinkable means,
What appears to be life falling apart at the seams.
Treatment or surgery to improve how they live,
Medical knowledge through the care that we give.
Injuries that heal and illness abated,
Dressings changed and IV's calibrated.
Day after day we come back for more,
This career we have chosen, this job we adore.

A Pattern for Friendship
Because I have a special Friend, called Jesus,
I have an outline, crystal clear to see,
Of what it means to earn the label "Friendship"
And what I seek in friendships offered me.
When I am happy, delirious with some honor,
Jesus, in my corner, steadies me.
When I am seeped in sorrow, scarcely moving,
Then, Jesus comes ~ comfort in His wings.
So, when my friend is honored, I do likewise.
I stand there. smiling genuinely, too.
Remembering when other days bring trials,
I’ll be there, sure; with handshake, firm and true.
There are friendships that deserve the title,
More than frivolous chums along life’s way.
Don’t let those friendships lie in dust, decaying.
But, try to add a little love each day.
True friendship just grows stronger, sweeter, dearer,
The longer it abides within our hearts.
We never know when earthly ties will sever
Or when eternal friendship really starts.

Thoughts of Love
I've thought about the future and what it holds for me
A life of love and laughter that's what I'd like it to be.
With you close by my side sharing our life together
Building a home and family being in love forever.
When I think of you sweetheart my heart just swells with love
I cherish the very day we met I thank the Lord above.
I stand now by the waters edge sun dip's into ocean so blue
As dusk falls all around me my thoughts return to you.
